Northbound I-475 lane closures for slope paving in Flint start Dec 5

DAVISON, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will complete temporary slope repairs at I-475/I-69 in Flint. This work is part of a long-term maintenance fix ahead of future I-475 construction.

Traffic restrictions:
This work will require lane closures and traffic shifts on northbound I-475 before the I-475/I-69 interchange, and closure of the northbound I-475 ramp to M-21 with traffic detoured via Robert T Longway Boulevard.
Crews will also likely close the 9th Street ramp to eastbound I-69 by Wednesday, Dec. 7, to accommodate work. Crews plan to open the northbound I-475 lanes during weekends, with all work expected to be complete by Dec. 19.
Safety benefit:
This work will address immediate slope improvements needed ahead of permanent I-475 construction.
