Traffic signal upgrades at six intersections in northern Lower Michigan begins March 20

GAYLORD, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $475,000 to upgrade traffic signals at six intersections:
- US-131 at M-66 north of Mancelona
- US-31 at Ames Street in Elk Rapids
- US-31 at M-115 south of Benzonia
- US-31 at Merkey Road south of Manistee
- M-66 at Jennings Road south of Lake City
- M-66 at M-55 in Lake City
Counties:
Antrim, Benzie, Manistee, and Missaukee
Highways:
US-131, US-31, M-66, M-115, and M-55
Closest cities:
Mancelona, Elk Rapids, Benzonia, Manistee, and Lake City
