Bridge work on northbound US-23 and Hill Road requiring lane closures in Genesee County starts May 15

DAVISON, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will complete additional steel repairs in the US-23 bridge over Swartz Creek in Genesee County.

Crews will also close lanes on Hill Road over US-23 to complete epoxy seal coating. This work was postponed in 2022 while crews addressed bridge repairs following a high-load hit.

Beginning Monday, May 15, drivers should expect a single-lane closure on northbound US-23 at Swartz Creek. Hill Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction for epoxy seal coating. Delays are expected and drivers may wish to find an alternate route.

This work will complete steel repairs and provide a sealed surface coating to extend the life of both structures.
