GAYLORD, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $398,000 to install high-friction surface treatments at intersections:
- M-37 at Bartlett Road/Fox Road in Mayfield Township, Grand Traverse County
- M-72 at Williamsburg Road/Elk Lake Road in Whitewater Township, Grand Traverse County
- M-72 at West Armstrong Road/South Coleman Road in Kasson Township, in Leelanau County
- M-119 at West Conway Road in Little Traverse Township, Emmet County
Grand Traverse, Leelanau and Emmet
M-37, M-72 and M-119
Buckley, Williamsburg, Maple City and Harbor Springs
Monday, May 15, 2023
Estimated end date:
Friday, July 7, 2023
Drivers should expect lane closures and traffic regulators.
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support nearly five jobs.
This surface will provide more traction for vehicles slowing or stopping at the intersection or navigating curves, particularly during inclement weather.
