September 07, 2023
LENOX, Mich. – Beginning 5 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, the eastbound I-94 ramps to and from 26 Mile Road will be closed for approximately three days for paving.
Eastbound I-94 traffic will be detoured to northbound M-19 (Main Street/New Haven Road), then to eastbound 26 Mile Road.
26 Mile Road traffic will be detoured to southbound M-3 (Gratiot Avenue), then eastbound M-29 (23 Mile Road)
This work is part of a $32.5 million I-94 project from M-29 (23 Mile Road) to County Line Road, which includes bridge work at six locations, traffic signal upgrades and partial ramp rebuilding at the I-94/M-19 and I-94/M-29 interchanges. Work will be completed by late fall.
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 393 jobs.
