MDOT meeting June 23 to discuss planned 2026 M-123 project in Paradise

PARADISE, Mich. - Whitefish Township and the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) invites the public to a meeting to discuss the planned 2026 rebuilding project on M-123 from O'Briens Creek to Whitefish Point Road in Paradise, Chippewa County. There will be a brief presentation followed by a question-and-answer session.

Project information:
MDOT plans to invest about $3 million to rebuild the asphalt pavement and replace storm sewer. The project includes enhancement-funded improvements, including a shared-use path, sidewalk, decorative concrete pavement and lighting. Work is expected to be completed during summer 2026.
Throughout work, project information will be posted on MDOT's Mi Drive website and will also be shared on social media.
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 28 jobs.
