I-75 bridge deck replacement over Trowbridge Road starts March 25

GAYLORD, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $4.8 million to replace the northbound and southbound I-75 bridge decks over Trowbridge Road south of Wolverine in Cheboygan County. The project also includes concrete patching, painting and approach repairs.
Work on the southbound bridge is scheduled to begin March 25 and be reopened to traffic by May 23. Work on the northbound bridge is scheduled to begin Sept. 3 and be reopened to traffic by Nov. 15.

Traffic restrictions:
I-75 traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic crossovers built last year in the freeway median. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction.
Both bridges will be fully open to traffic between May 23 and Sept. 3.
Trowbridge Road will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic controlled by a temporary traffic signal.
