US-127 BR ramp resurfacing from roundabout to US-127 in Mt. Pleasant starts July 22

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $385,000 in hot-mix asphalt resurfacing to the US-127 Business Route (BR) ramps from the Mission Street roundabout to US-127 in Mt. Pleasant.

Traffic restrictions:
Both the southbound US-127 ramp to the US-127 BR/Mission Street roundabout and the northbound US-127 BR ramp from the Mission Street roundabout to US-127 are expected to close on July 22.
This work will require a detour for both the southbound and northbound ramps via US-127, Rosebush Road, Mission Road, and US-127 BR (Mission Street) and vice versa.
This work is weather-dependent. Access to Mission Road on the north side of the roundabout will remain open at all times.

Based on economic modeling, this $385,000 investment is expected to directly and indirectly support five jobs.
Safety benefit:
This work will improve the driving surface of the ramps and extend the life of the roadway.
