US-10 BR (Buttles Street) lane closures begin Aug. 25 for utility relocation
August 22, 2025
MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be implementing lane closures along eastbound US-10 Business Route (BR) (Buttles Street) from Jerome Street to State Street in the city of Midland for utility relocation work.
Starting Monday, Aug. 25, single-lane closures will be in place on eastbound US-10 BR until late March 2026 to allow crews to safely relocate overhead utilities. No lane closures are planned for westbound US-10 BR (Indian Street).
Intermittent closures will be posted along intersecting local streets as needed within the project area.
This work is being done to prepare for a $32 million investment to improve the US-10 BR corridor. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2026 after utility relocation work is completed.
