M-58 (Davenport Avenue) detoured Jan. 20-23 for water main work in Saginaw

SAGINAW, Mich. -The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close M-58 (Davenport Avenue) from M-84 (Bay Street) and Hemmeter Road Tuesday, Jan. 20, through Friday, Jan. 23, to allow the City of Saginaw to perform water main valve work.

Eastbound M-58 (State Street) is currently closed and is detoured onto westbound M-58 (Davenport Avenue) as a part of an ongoing $13 million rebuilding project. Westbound M-58 (Davenport Avenue) currently features two-way traffic with a temporary center turn lane for the duration of this project.

To accommodate this water main work, westbound M-58 (Davenport Avenue) traffic will be temporarily detoured via M-84 (Bay Street), Shattuck Road and Hemmeter Road back to Davenport Avenue. Eastbound Davenport Avenue traffic will be detoured via Hemmeter Road, Shattuck Road, and M-84 (Bay Street) back to Davenport Avenue.
