Michigan Avenue bridge demolition over I-94 in Battle Creek this weekend

MARSHALL, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is demolishing the M-96 (Michigan Avenue) bridge over I-94 this weekend as part of the Marshall Modernization Project.
M-96 already is closed at I-94. During demolition, I-94 will be closed between I-194 Exit 98 and M-311/11 Mile Road Exit 104.

Traffic restrictions:
Eastbound and westbound I-94 will be closed between I-194 Exit 98 and M-311/11 Mile Road Exit 104 during the demolition.
Eastbound I-94 will be detoured on northbound I-194, eastbound Columbia Avenue, eastbound Michigan Avenue, eastbound Wheatfield Parkway and southbound 11 Mile Road.
Westbound I-94 will be detoured on westbound Wheatfield Parkway, westbound Michigan Avenue, westbound Columbia Avenue and southbound I-194.
Thee following will also be closed during demolition:
- Eastbound Columbia Avenue from Riverside Drive to I-194.
- Columbia Avenue access to Beadle Lake Road.
- The Beadle Lake Road ramp to eastbound I-94.
- 11 Mile Road between Michigan Avenue and Wheatfield Parkway.
- I-94/I-194 interchange ramps:
- The northbound I-194 entrance ramp to eastbound I-94,
- The northbound I-194 entrance ramp to westbound I-94, and
- The southbound I-194 entrance ramp to eastbound I-94.
