Public meeting March 19 in Howard City to discuss M-46/Federal Road roundabout

HOWARD CITY, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is hosting a public meeting next week regarding a planned 2027 project to rebuild the M-46/Federal Road intersection into a roundabout. The meeting will provide information on project details, traffic maintenance and scheduling. The public is invited to stop by any time during the meeting to learn more about the project and provide comments. Learn more about the benefits of roundabouts on MDOT's website.

Project information:
This project also includes enhancing the White Pine Trail pedestrian crossing. Public input is being sought to help recognize and address any concerns that may result from any impacts on the adjacent recreational properties during construction per a proposed de minimis impact finding under Section 4(f) of the U.S. Department of Transportation Act of 1966.
