Temporary I-69 ramp closures ahead of $33.5 million bridge improvement project in Genesee County

DAVISON, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will implement temporary closures of multiple ramps on I-69 at Miller and Morrish roads in Genesee County:

  •        The Miller Road entrance ramp to westbound I-69 and westbound I-69 Exit 129 to Miller Road will be closed 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. March 30, with March 31 as a backup date in case of inclement weather.
  •        Eastbound I-69 Exit 128 to Morrish Road will be closed 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. April 3.

This work is being done to prepare for a $33.5 million investment to improve and repair 15 structures on I-69 between I-75 and Morrish Road. These ramp closures are necessary to allow crews to safely place rumble strips for the work zone. Work is anticipated to begin on March 30.

Once work begins on the overall project, eastbound I-69 traffic will be shifted onto westbound I-69 via a traffic crossover (the left lane of westbound I-69 will be used to accommodate eastbound traffic). The eastbound I-69 ramps at Miller Road will be closed during this work.
