KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and contractor Milbocker and Sons, Inc. project to add an auxiliary lane to northbound US-131 between I-94 and Stadium Drive in Kalamazoo is moving into the next phase this week, requiring crews to close the northbound US-131 ramp to westbound I-94.
Completion of this $13.4 million investment is expected in mid-September, with the ramp closed until then. The posted detour is northbound US-131 to eastbound I-94, then use the Oakland Drive interchange to westbound I-94.
Single-lane closures will continue on northbound US-131.
