Public meeting April 21 to discuss replacing E. Beltline Avenue bridge over I-96 in 2027

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is hosting a public meeting next week regarding next year’s project to replace the M-44/M-37 (E. Beltline Avenue) bridge over I-96. MDOT staff will provide information on project details, traffic maintenance and scheduling. The public is invited to stop by any time during the meeting to learn more about the project and provide comments.

Project information:
In 2027, MDOT will replace the original East Beltline Avenue bridge over I-96. The project also includes building a nonmotorized path across the bridge and bridge improvements over the Grand Rapids Eastern Railroad crossing just south of I-96.
