M-66 fixed object removal open house May 26

MARSHALL, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be holding a public open house for the M-66 fixed-object removal project in Calhoun and Branch counties planned for 2027-2029.

Project information:
Starting in February 2027, MDOT crews will be removing fixed objects, including tree removal and brush clearing, along M-66 between Glenn Cross Road in Battle Creek, Calhoun County, and M-60 in Branch County. The project includes tree planting and right-of-way restoration. Work is expected to be completed by September 2029.

The work will require shoulder closures and single-lane closures with traffic regulators.
