TRENTON, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is hosting a public meeting to discuss the engineering study and environmental review of the Canadian National (CN) (GTW) railroad crossing at M-85 (Fort Street) in Trenton, Wayne County, just north of Van Horn Road. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the project team and learn details about the project.

Project information:
MDOT is currently conducting an engineering study and environmental review to explore ways to improve the railroad crossing. The selected alternative is building an M-85 bridge over the railroad. This alternative will move forward through the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and design process.
The anticipated schedule for this project includes finishing the environmental review by early 2027, design of construction documents from 2027 to late 2028, and construction of the project in 2029-2030.
