Ongoing utility work requires overnight closures on northbound M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) at I-75 in Detroit

DETROIT, Mich. - Weather permitting, crews will close northbound M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) from I-75 to the Dequindre Cut nightly beginning Tuesday, June 16. The closures are required for ongoing utility relocation work on the M-3 bridge over the Dequindre Cut. The overnight closures start at 8 p.m. and end by 5 a.m. the following mornings, ending Friday, June 19.
During the closure, the northbound and southbound I-75 ramps (along with the northbound I-375 ramp) to northbound M-3 will also be closed. Freeway traffic will be detoured to take Exit 52 and eastbound Mack Avenue to access northbound M-3.
Northbound M-3 traffic coming from downtown Detroit will be detoured via eastbound Antietam Avenue and northbound St. Aubin Street back to northbound M-3.
Lane closures on northbound and southbound M-3 and the Gratiot Connector will resume after the Ford Fireworks on Monday, June 22.
