US-31 nighttime detour in Traverse City next week for DTE gas line work

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - Beginning Monday, Aug. 24, Miller Pipeline, on behalf of DTE Energy, will be installing new gas lines under US-31 between Milliken Road and Fair Street in Traverse City. This work will require closing the westbound outside lane of US-31 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday and Tuesday nights, and closing US-31 and detouring traffic from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights.
US-31 will be open to traffic each day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Traffic restrictions:
From 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday and Tuesday nights, the westbound outside lane of US-31 will be closed with traffic shifted to the inside lane. From 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights, US-31 will be closed with traffic detoured on Garfield Road and Eighth Street.
