Detailed bridge inspections on I-375, I-75 start Aug. 24 in downtown Detroit

DETROIT, Mich. - Weather permitting, crews will start detailed bridge inspections during off-peak hours along I-375 in downtown Detroit on Monday, Aug. 24. Work will begin daily at 9 a.m. and end by 3 p.m. to avoid rush hour traffic. Impacts on I-375 traffic will include single-lane closures and intermittent ramp closures. Lane closures will be required on freeway overpasses during work hours. Work will not occur on days when the Detroit Tigers are hosting afternoon games at Comerica Park.  

Starting Monday, Aug. 31, work will include inspections on I-75 between Woodward and Mack avenues. Daily single-lane and intermittent ramp closures are scheduled between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

These inspections will help ensure continued safe and reliable operations of these structures. All work is expected to be completed prior to the Labor Day holiday weekend. Details on days and locations are available on Mi Drive.
