LIVONIA, Mich. - The ongoing rebuilding of the I-96/M-14 interchange in western Wayne County is expected to reach a significant milestone Friday, Sept. 18, when westbound I-96 traffic from Levan Road to I-275 will be switched over to the rebuilt westbound lanes. Currently, both directions of I-96 are sharing the eastbound side of the freeway with two lanes open in each direction.
Beginning at 5 a.m. and ending by 7 p.m. Friday, westbound I-96/M-14 will have one lane open from Wayne to Sheldon roads.
