DETROIT, Mich. - Weather permitting, crews will implement additional lane closures on the M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) connector ramps and on M-3 in Detroit as part of an ongoing project to relocate underground utilities.

Scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, the eastbound and westbound M-3 connector ramps between I-75 and Gratiot Avenue will each have one lane open. In addition, M-3 will have one lane open in each direction between Antietam Avenue and St. Aubin Street. This new configuration is expected to remain in place until late November.

This utility relocation is in preparation for planned work to replace the M-3 bridge over the Dequindre Cut that is currently being designed. During this stage of utility relocation, the Dequindre Cut will remain open and access to Eastern Market will be maintained. Overall relocation work is expected to be completed in December.
