In partnership with the cities of Grand Rapids and Wyoming, MDOT is rebuilding approximately 2 miles of M-11 (28th Street) from Division Avenue to Kalamazoo Avenue. The project includes asphalt resurfacing, drainage improvements, four new midblock signalized pedestrian crosswalks and improvements to the pump station at Division Avenue to address flooding issues.
September 2026 - November 2027
Preliminary work begins this fall with the bulk of construction starting April 2027.
