Description: Team Grand Rapids utilizes app and ridesharing technologies to increase availability of same-day trip requests and decrease the duration of rides and increase on-time performance.
Award amount: $373,782
Current status: The pilot wrapped up with Rapid On Demand finishing service on March 13, 2020. February had the peak number of active riders (45), as well as the second highest growth in terms of new accounts created. Client feedback has been mostly positive. However, there were some issues with not having enough transportation on the road in the final month to accommodate the demand.
