Scope
The project scope will be finalized through the Environmental Assessment process which is anticipated to conclude in the spring of 2025. The US-23 Improvement Project is anticipated to include reconstruction of US-23 from I-94 to south of Geddes Road, structure work including preventive maintenance repairs and bridge replacements, improvements to accommodate future transit plans, reconstruction and ramp widening from westbound I-94 to northbound US-23, reconstruction and reconfiguration of the US-23/M-17 interchange, including reconstruction of Washtenaw Avenue, culvert replacements, noise barrier and possible retaining walls, multimodal improvements, and safety improvements.
