M-40 bridge improvements begin next week near Holland

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation is investing $1.3 million to improve the M-40 bridge over I-196 near Holland in Allegan County. Work includes deck resurfacing, substructure repair, new expansion joints, and approach replacement.

Traffic restrictions:
Lane closures will be in effect throughout the project on M-40 and I-196. After Memorial Day, both directions of M-40 will share one lane and alternate via temporary traffic signals.
