US-23 through-traffic in Alpena detoured for emergency storm sewer repair

GAYLORD, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be detouring US-23 through-traffic in Alpena this Wednesday, Thursday, and part of Friday to make emergency storm sewer repairs at the US-23 route turn in Alpena, the Chisholm Street/State Street intersection.

Traffic restrictions:
US-23 through-traffic will be detoured on local routes South 11th Avenue and South Ripley Boulevard. Local access to downtown Alpena residences and businesses will be maintained.
