M-89 resurfacing and culvert replacement begins Tuesday

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation is investing $2 million to resurface approximately 5 miles of M-89 between I-196 and 58th Street on the west side of Fennville. Work also includes culvert replacement between 66th and 64th streets.

Lane closures will be in effect throughout the project. M-89 will be closed and detoured for culvert replacement between 66th and 64th streets.
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 25 jobs.
This work will provide a safer and smoother driving surface and extend the service life of the roadway.
