Southbound I-75 overnight closure in Bay County to set bridge beams on Parish Road starts Aug. 2

BAY CITY, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will detour southbound I-75 at Parish Road during overnight hours while crews set bridge beams. This work is part of an overall $29 million investment to improve nearly 5 miles of miles of I-75 through Bay County, including bridge improvements at three locations. Work started in April 2021.

Traffic restrictions:
Southbound I-75 will be closed beginning at 7 p.m. Aug. 2 and Aug. 3 to accommodate beam setting. Southbound I-75 will reopen by 5 a.m. each following morning. Traffic will be detoured via Linwood Road and M-13.

This work is expected to directly and indirectly support 368 jobs.
Safety benefit:
This work improved nearly 5 miles of I-75 and completed significant repairs, including new bridge decks to three bridge structures.
