MDOT public open house April 24 to discuss draft US-131 Business Route noise study in Kalamazoo County

Kalamazoo, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is hosting a public open house to discuss the draft US-131 Business Route (BR) noise study in Kalamazoo County. Experts to answer questions will be available.

Study background:
A noise analysis was conducted to assess impacts associated with the US-131/US-131 BR interchange improvement project in Kalamazoo County. The proposed project includes the addition of the two interchange ramps and safety and environmental improvements. Information on the noise abatement program is available on MDOT's website.

Public comment:
MDOT is currently seeking public input on the draft noise report. Comments can be submitted via an online comment form, e-mail, phone, and in person at the public meeting. Provide your comments by May 8, 2023.
