MDOT public open house March 20 for M-142 improvements in Huron County

SAGINAW, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) invites the public to attend an open house to learn more about an upcoming $5.2 million investment to improve M-142 from M-53 to M-19 in Huron County. Attendees will be able to view project information and project staff will be present and available to answer questions.

Project information:
This $5.2 million investment includes resurfacing the roadway as well as sanitary sewer and water main work on M-142 from M-53 to M-19. The roadway will also be widened for the addition of a center left-turn lane from Nugent Road to a half-mile east.
Traffic will be detoured via M-53 to Learman and Carpenter roads. Local traffic will be maintained on M-142 from M-53 to Hellems Road.
Work is expected to begin on April 1 and end Aug. 15.
