I-75 Rebuilding Project - Monroe County

About this project

MDOT is rebuilding I-75 from Laplaisance Road to N Dixie Highway in the city of Monroe, Frenchtown Charter Township and Monroe Charter Township in Monroe County. The proposed project will address operational and safety needs.

Improvements include:

  • Removing the Elm Avenue interchange to eliminate the weave/merge and safety concerns that currently exist.
  • Rebuilding the Front Street interchange with improved ramps to allow for easier vehicle and truck movement.
  • Improving traffic flow at the Front Street and N Dixie Highway intersections.
