M-189 resurfacing project in Iron County starts July 5

ESCANABA, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $1.5 million to resurface 6.5 miles of M-189 from the Wisconsin/Michigan state line to north of Hiawatha Road in the cities of Caspian and Iron River in Iron County. Work includes asphalt milling and resurfacing, gravel shoulders, and new pavement markings. The project includes a three-year pavement warranty.
