MDOT public open houses June 12, 17 on M-1 (Woodward Avenue) corridor plan in Oakland, Wayne counties

BIRMINGHAM, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) invites the public to provide their input on the M-1 (Woodward Avenue) corridor plan between Adams Avenue in downtown Detroit and the Woodward Loop in Pontiac. The open houses offer information on transportation data, safety and previous municipal plans, as well as the opportunity to provide feedback.

Plan information
The M-1 corridor plan is intended to establish a comprehensive vision that balances the needs of all transportation users to provide a strategic approach for future investments. This plan analyzes operational and safety needs for future project prioritization. The plan also outlines potential improvements on Woodward Avenue that considers environmental, historic preservation and economic goals.
