US-23 resurfacing in Alpena begins Sept. 19

GAYLORD, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $958,000 to resurface 1.3 miles of US-23 from south of Richardson Street to south of North 11th Avenue in Alpena. This project also includes new concrete sidewalk ramps built to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards and upgrades to the railroad crossing at North 10th Avenue.
