Project information:
MDOT plans to convert a section of US-12 from four lanes to two lanes from Reum Road to Frantz Drive in Milton Township, with a center left-turn lane at Frantz Drive. Along with the improved eastbound US-12 ramp to southbound US-12, this right-sizing is expected to reduce the speed differential and eliminate high-speed passing maneuvers, improving the safety of the interchange. The road diet was a recommended safety improvement from a 2020 study and is supported by Milton Township.
Work is anticipated to take place in October.
