Revive275 project: I-275/I-94 interchange ramps reopening, other ramp and bridge closures coming in Wayne County

ROMULUS/LIVONIA, Mich. ­- The I-275/I-94 interchange is close to completion. Beginning Saturday afternoon, June 17, the northbound I-275 ramps to eastbound and westbound I-94 are expected to reopen. Eastbound and westbound I-94 ramps to northbound I-275 are expected to reopen Thursday afternoon, June 29.

The following changes will occur in the coming weeks:

  • The northbound I-275 ramp to Ecorse Road will be closed from 6 a.m. Monday, June 19, to early to mid-August.
  • The northbound I-275 ramp to M-153 (Ford Road) is expected to reopen in late June.
  • The westbound M-153 (Ford Road) ramp to northbound I-275 should reopen in early July.
  • The eastbound M-153 (Ford Road) ramp to northbound I-275 should reopen in late July.
  • The 6 Mile Road bridge over I-275 will be closed for repairs at the on/off ramps between Haggerty and Newburgh roads from 6 a.m. Monday, July 10, through mid-August.
    • Northbound I-275 will only be able to access eastbound 6 Mile Road.
    • Southbound I-275 will only be able to access westbound 6 Mile Road.
    • Eastbound 6 Mile Road will only be able to access southbound I-275.
    • Westbound 6 Mile Road will only be able to access northbound I-275.

Detours:

  • Northbound I-275 to westbound 6 Mile Road: Take northbound I-275 to westbound 7 Mile Road, then southbound I-275 to westbound 6 Mile Road.
  • Southbound I-275 to eastbound 6 Mile Road: Take southbound I-275 to eastbound Ann Arbor Road, then northbound I-275 to eastbound 6 Mile Road. 
  • Eastbound 6 Mile Road: Take northbound Haggerty Road to eastbound 7 Mile Road, then southbound Newburgh Road to 6 Mile Road.
  • Westbound 6 Mile Road: Take northbound I-275 to westbound 7 Mile Road, then southbound I-275 to 6 Mile Road.
