MDOT public meetings Aug 7 and 8 to discuss proposed Michigan Line safety improvements project

Detroit, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is hosting two public open houses on safety improvements on the Michigan Line, which carries Amtrak’s Detroit - Chicago passenger train service.

Project information:
The purpose of this project is to enhance pedestrian safety along the railroad corridor at locations known to have hazardous conditions. Enhancements could include fencing, special pavement marking, signs, anti-trespass panels, or other improvements.
