Luna Pier Road ramp to I-75 closed in Monroe County starting Monday
August 11, 2023
LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close the Luna Pier Road ramp to northbound I-75 for rebuilding Monday. Work is expected to be finished at the end of the month.
MDOT is investing approximately $126 million to rebuild more than 4 miles of I-75 between Erie Road and Otter Creek, including rebuilding five bridges along with the ramps at Otter Creek and Luna Pier roads. Most work for this project will be performed in 2023-2024.
Funding for this project is made possible by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's Rebuilding Michigan program to rebuild the state highways and bridges that are critical to the state's economy and carry the most traffic. The investment strategy is aimed at fixes that result in longer useful lives and improves the condition of the state's infrastructure.
