GAYLORD, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be cleaning the following bridge decks of sand and salt to prevent corrosion:

Counties:
Manistee, Charlevoix, Cheboygan

Highways:
US-31, US-23

Closest communities:
Manistee, Charlevoix, Cheboygan

Estimated end date:
Thursday, May 22, 2025

Traffic restrictions:
On the scheduled dates, the respective bridges will have single-lane closures with traffic shifts. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times.

This work helps ensure the bridges can open and close safely and reliably.
