MDOT cleaning northern Lower Peninsula bascule bridges in May

GAYLORD, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be cleaning the following bridge decks of sand and salt to prevent corrosion:
- The US-31 bascule bridge over the Manistee River in Manistee on Monday and Tuesday, May 19 - 20,
- The US-31 bascule bridge over the Pine River Channel in Charlevoix on Wednesday, May 21, and
- The US-23 bascule bridge over the Cheboygan River in Cheboygan on Thursday, May 22.
