Water main work closing ramps at I-275/8 Mile Road interchange two separate weeks in late fall in Wayne/Oakland counties

FARMINGTON HILLS/LIVONIA/NOVI, Mich. - Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) utility work to install a water main along 8 Mile Road on the Wayne/Oakland County border will require ramp closures at the I-275/8 Mile Road interchange in November and December.
8 Mile Road:
Beginning 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, through 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, the westbound 8 Mile Road ramp to southbound I-275 will be closed. Traffic will be detoured further west on 8 Mile Road to southbound Haggerty Road, then eastbound 7 Mile Road to southbound I-275.
I-275:
Beginning in early December, the southbound I-275 ramp to 8 Mile Road will be closed for about a week. Southbound I-275 traffic will be detoured further south to westbound 7 Mile Road, then northbound Haggerty Road to 8 Mile Road.
