M-139 closure in Niles Township starts Monday

COLOMA, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be closing M-139 between M-140 and Ullery Road starting Monday, March 11, to Friday, May 3, for repairs to the Franz and Norton Drain culvert, followed by restoration work until June 7.
Work will include removing and replacing the damaged section of the box culvert, sheet piling, backfill, installation of erosion control measures in the drain, drainage improvement to local driveways, and restoration after construction.

Traffic restrictions:
During the March 11 – May 3 closure, traffic will be detoured on M-140 and Ullery Road.
