Southbound US-131 bridge repairs over M-115 begin March 18

GAYLORD, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $3.6 million to repair the southbound US-131 bridge over M-115 south of Cadillac in Wexford County. The project includes deck replacement, steel repairs, pin and hanger replacement, structural steel cleaning and coating, substructure repairs, guardrail, and approach work. Similar repairs to the northbound US-131 bridge over M-115 are scheduled for this fall.

Traffic restrictions:
Traffic will be detoured around the bridge using the southbound US-131 on and off ramps, controlled with a temporary traffic signal at M-115. Some work on the bridge will require intermittent nighttime closures of M-115.
