TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $175,000 to build right-turn lanes for both directions of M-72 at the Williamsburg Road/Elk Lake Road intersection.

Traffic restrictions:
This work will require temporarily closing the center left-turn lane and traffic shifts at the intersection. Traffic restrictions will be lifted over the Memorial Day holiday weekend.

Adding the right-turn lanes will provide drivers more space outside of the through-traffic lanes to safely slow down before turning.
