M-26 repairs in Houghton start June 17

HOUGHTON, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing about $763,000 to repair about 2 miles of M-26 from Green Acres Road to Shelden Avenue in Houghton. The work includes concrete pavement repair as well as joint repair.

Traffic restrictions:
Motorists should expect single-lane closures. Some night work may be required at the M-26 intersections with Green Acres Road, Razorback Drive, and Sharon Avenue. A 13-foot lane width restriction will be in place until July 22. From July 22 until project completion, a 12-foot lane width restriction will be in place.

Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support nine jobs.
