ONTONAGON, Mich. - Contractors for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be replacing a culvert on US-45 north of Rockland in Ontonagon County, requiring closing and detouring US-45 beginning Tuesday morning, July 22. The project is expected to be completed by Friday, July 25.
US-45 will be closed near the culvert, 1,700 feet east of French Shanty Road. Traffic will be detoured onto M-26 and M-38.
This project will help ensure continued safe and reliable operation of the roadway.
