Bridge improvements begin on Segwun Avenue over I-96

LOWELL CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing approximately $1.3 million to improve the Segwun Avenue bridge over I-96 in eastern Kent County near Lowell. Improvements include deck resurfacing, substructure repair, and approach rebuilding.

Segwun Avenue will be closed over I-96 with traffic detoured onto 52nd Street, M-50 (Alden Nash Avenue) and Cascade Road. Lane closures and traffic shifts will be in effect on I-96.
