Overnight closure on I-69 Aug. 23 for utility work in Lapeer County

DAVISON, Mich. -The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has issued a permit for utility work on I-69 from Wilder Road to Lake Pleasant Road in Lapeer County. This work will require temporarily closing both directions of I-69 overnight.

Traffic restrictions:
This work will require temporarily closing I-69 in each direction.

  • Eastbound traffic will be detoured via Wilder Road Exit 159, southbound Wilder Road, eastbound Newark Road and northbound Lake Pleasant Road back to I-69.
  • Westbound traffic will be detoured via Lake Pleasant Road Exit 163, southbound Lake Pleasant Road, westbound Newark Road, and northbound Wilder Road back to I-69.

Motorists should expect delays. This work is weather dependent.
