A new mid-block pedestrian crossing also is planned between Eagle and Jefferson streets.
The goal of the project is to reduce speed differentials, improve safety for motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized traffic, extend pavement life, and improve quality of life and navigability along the Michigan Avenue corridor.
