Overnight I-75 lane closures, rolling closures extended in Bay County
December 12, 2025
SAGINAW, Mich. -The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will continue sign truss work on I-75 in each direction at US-10 in Bay County.
Northbound I-75 lane closures and intermittent rolling closures will continue to be in place from 8 p.m. to Friday, Dec. 12, to 6 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. This is a continuation of overnight work that was done on Thursday, Dec. 11. Work will then continue on southbound I-75 from 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16.
This work is part of a $5.3 million investment to upgrade signs and overhead sign structures, guardrails and delineators along I-75 from the Genesee County line north to the Bay County line and from the southern Saginaw County line north to the M-13 connector.
This work will include improving signs and other features like guardrails and delineators to increase roadway safety. Lane and shoulder closures during this type of work are necessary to provide the safest work area possible for crews and motorists.
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 51 jobs.
